Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, many CalFresh recipients in Yolo County are experiencing delays in receiving their food benefits for November. To help meet this urgent community need, Yolo Food Bank is hosting pop-up emergency food distributions in partnership with Yolo County HHSA.
We're seeking volunteers to help ensure that families and individuals facing food insecurity during this time have access to nutritious food. Volunteers will help:
- Pack bags of fresh produce and shelf stable pantry items
- Distribute food directly to recipients through a walk-up format
- Help with setup, line flow and clean up as needed
