Yolo Food Bank is looking for motivated volunteers to support inventory sorting at our warehouse!
Sorters will be in the warehouse sorting through donations from our local distribution centers such as Target, Walmart, etc. These large donations are sorted into different categories (e.g. water, canned goods, dog food, etc.) in large bins.
Once the product is sorted through, we will distribute it to the community:
- Our local Fire Departments receive water/Gatorade
- Partner Agencies are offered pet food and supplies via the Partner Agency Store
- All other items are distributed from our warehouse and Partner Agency Store out into the community
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable lifting up to 20 pounds
- Must be comfortable standing during the whole shift on concrete floors
- Must be comfortable bending over for sustained periods of time
Notes:
- Warehouse is NOT temperature controlled, please plan accordingly
