Sign up for Produce Sorting to help us sort, inspect, and pack fresh produce for the Yolo County community.
This is a great activity for folks who enjoy working independently and focusing on the fine details. Each volunteer in the Quality Control Room will be assigned their own specific tasks to work on during the shift. The fruits (and veggies) of your labor will be sent out to our Student Farmers Market program!
Music will be played during this event! Enjoy Ed's selection of rock, pop, and jazz! If you would like to work in silence, please bring noise cancelling headphones or earplugs.
Packing at the YFB Warehouse is dependent on incoming donations, product availability, and program needs. While we aim to offer a consistent schedule, we may have to adjust dates and times to best serve our food recipients. If the schedule does change, a Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you and offer alternative options!
Caution: If you have severe food or mold allergies, please do not volunteer at this activity!
