Welcome to the 'Passenger' opportunity page! If you would like to assist a 'Volunteer Driver' with a delivery route, please sign up for the appropriate shift below. Note: You'll need to include the name of the 'Volunteer Driver' you are paired up with in the 'Response Notes' section upon registering. The volunteer 'Passenger' and 'Volunteer Driver' will be assigned the same route.
As a 'passenger' you can help with:
- navigating directions
- parking
- dividing up deliveries if there are several in one building
Volunteer drivers/passengers will pick up food boxes and bags along with their own unique delivery route from the Yolo Food Bank facility at 233 Harter Avenue, Woodland, CA, 95776. You will be assigned up to 15 addresses which can take up to 2 hours to deliver. The food items will be available for pickup between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Requirements for passengers:
- Must pre-identify 'volunteer driver'
- Must wear closed toes shoes
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
