Volunteer Driver: Winters

Description

Through the Private Community Food Distribution program, Yolo Food Bank, along with several community partners, provides equitable access to free, fresh food to our senior, homebound, and mobility-restricted neighbors throughout Yolo County. Winters residents are showing resilience -- your support can amplify their efforts!

We are seeking highly motivated volunteers who would like to deliver a box of produce and a bag of shelf-stable items to community members! Volunteer drivers will pick up food boxes and/or bags along with their own unique delivery route from the Yolo Food Bank facility at 233 Harter Avenue, Woodland, CA, 95776. You will be assigned up to 15 addresses, which can take up to 2 hours to deliver.

Requirements:

  • Must use your own vehicle
  • Must have a valid drivers license *You will need to upload a photo for verification**
  • Must wear closed toes shoes
  • Must be able to lift up to 20-25 pounds

Note: This opportunity is perfect for volunteers to work in pairs! If 2 volunteers would like to do the same route together, have one person sign up as a "Passenger" here.
