Volunteer: Harvest at UC Davis Student Farm (Davis)

Join us out at the farm and dig out some nutrition, literally! We're looking for passionate volunteers to help us harvest a variety of seasonal produce. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or a first time volunteer, your hands can help grow something bigger than a harvest.

By contributing your time, you'll help support our Harvest Program which:

expands access to culturally relevant foods that are often hard to find or afford in traditional marketsconnects diverse communities with Yolo County farmers and the environment in a meaningful wayincreases food access across our community by distributing local, fresh produce to those who need it most

What to Expect:

you'll harvest a variety of produce  - expect some bending or kneelingall harvest tools and supplies are provided by YFB and the UCD Farmyou'll work alongside friendly staff and volunteers in a relaxed, supportive environmentno experience necessary - just a willingness to lend a hand and enjoy the outdoors

How to Prepare:

certain crops may cause skin irritation so we recommend that you wear a long sleeve top and pants for safety, closed toed shoes are required at all volunteer eventshydration is key - please bring a reusable water bottle

Volunteer: Harvest at Muller Ag (Woodland)

Join us for a morning harvest in Woodland! You can expect to help harvest a mix of produce including: peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, melons and corn! All produce that is  harvested by volunteers will go directly to community members through our programs. 

Please note: Certain plants may cause skin irritation. It is highly recommended that you wear a long sleeve top and pants. Remember that closed toed shoes are required! Water and supplies will be provided.
